Privacy Policy

This policy describes what data is collected when you use CM5 Wallet, why, and how it is protected.

Last updated: 05/08/2026

1. Data we collect

We only collect the data necessary for the operation and security of the service:

  • Account information: the email address used when creating your Wallet, and your name if you choose to provide it.
  • Wallet data: generated public addresses, balances, and the history of transactions carried out through the service.
  • Technical security data: login logs (date, time, device type, IP address and approximate associated location) used to detect suspicious sign-ins.
  • Private key: stored only in encrypted form. No plain-text version is ever transmitted to our servers or accessible to our staff.

2. Purpose of processing

Your data is used exclusively to: operate the Wallet (displaying balances, processing transactions), secure your account (detecting suspicious activity, two-factor authentication), and notify you of events related to your account (sign-ins, transactions, security alerts).

We never use your data for advertising profiling or resale to third parties.

3. Data sharing

CM5 Markets does not sell or rent your personal data. It may only be shared with technical providers strictly necessary for the service to function (hosting, blockchain infrastructure, transactional email delivery), each bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.

Data may also be disclosed to competent authorities where required by law, in particular under anti-money laundering (AML) obligations.

4. Data retention

Your data is retained for the entire lifetime of your account. After closure, some data may be archived for a limited period in accordance with applicable legal retention obligations (in particular accounting and anti-fraud requirements), then deleted.

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have rights of access, rectification, deletion, and portability regarding your personal data. You may exercise these rights at any time by contacting support, subject to any applicable legal retention obligations.

6. Data security

Sensitive data is encrypted at rest and in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to our internal systems is strictly limited to authorized personnel and logged. Anomaly detection mechanisms continuously monitor for suspicious access attempts.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

The service uses technical cookies strictly necessary for its operation (session persistence, language preference). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used on CM5 Wallet.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the service or to applicable regulations. Any material change will be notified to you within the application.
